Durham, NC – Durham County will conduct the 2025 Municipal Primary on Tuesday, October 7th, and the 2025 Municipal General Election on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025. Registered voters who reside in the Durham County side of the City of Durham or the towns of Chapel Hill, Cary, and Morrisville will be permitted to vote either by mail, in-person at an early voting site, or in-person at their assigned Election Day polling place.

The candidate filing period for the 2025 Municipal Primary and General Election will begin on July 7th, 2025. Filing will take place at the Durham County Board of Elections office located at 3825 S. Roxboro Street, Suite 101, Durham, NC 27713. For information regarding filing fees, check out the Candidate Filing page of our website, dcovotes.com.
For both elections, the polls will be open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Voters will be required to go to their assigned polling place on Election Day. To find your polling place, use the State Board of Elections voter lookup tool at www.ncsbe.gov.
